Gone too soon Sir,
That was how I called Mr. Kodwo Hayford. I first met him in November, 1997. He was kind beyond measure. Taking care of the widows, the poor, the orphans, you just name it, once you enter into his office, you are assured of 20kgs tuna ticket. Kodwo, as his friends called him was instrumental in me getting my first visa to UK. He went above and beyond to ensure I secure this visa, putting himself on the line. Supporting us when he can and ensuring that we are okay at all times. I came to Ghana in 2018 and visited him. He was his jovial self, telling me of all the gist in town.
I am really sad while typing this but also grateful for the memories of him. He has really fought a good fight and even when those around him feltl like he should be sad, he is always cheerful and grateful for where he finds himself. Kodwo you are gone too soon, but not forgotten. Will forever be in our hearts.
Da Yie, Mr. Hayford.
